For all the RIDERS!!
With it being winter down here.....I seriously have that itch to ride. Now the only downside about being here in Buenos Aires is the fact that the mountains are so damn far away. Anyway.....I am in the midst of trying to make a trip south...(yeah further south :) and see if I cant scratch this itch that I have. So in the meantime I have put up the history of snowboarding, for those who didnt know. It is always good to know history. It give you a greater appreciation of how far someones idea has gone. Me.....I rode for the first time winter of 1997. I will never forget it. Big up to one of the coolest people on earth CLUTCH. He would always show me pics of places that he had gone.....Clutch has been riding for years.....since like the early 90´s. I met him in Atlanta when I lived there. We ended up being really good friends. Our love for the ¨green¨, drum and bass, and deep house.....keep us occupied during the summer months. But once winter rolled around what could we do? I took to my first slope in winter of 1997 at Beech Mountain, North Carolina. The Appalachian Mountains. It was icy as fuck, but from that first day.....I have been into it ever since. My first board was a Morrow 167. It was too small hahahahah. hey I didnt know. we bought our own boards and we bought them when they were on sale. Craziness. But from that I have been all over the world riding. It has become a serious passion of mine. Some people surf, some ride bicycles. I snowboard. Much love and respect to Mr. Sims and Mr. Burton for making it possible for me to enjoy gravity by sliding down the mountain side. Go big or go home!! NO resting only RIDING!!!
