Fast and Furious 4

Now you know how I feel about sequels, but this one is one that I could not help but post. I thought that they were done with this series, but they brought back out the old cast to try it again. It looks decent, with some really good action, but if they go the route of the cop looking for a fugitive, that will be tired. I really hope they don't go there. So here's to hoping they breathe new life into an old movie.

Enjoy!!

Transporter 3

I really like the first one, and the second one I thought was kind of corny, but this one, which is the third installment of the Transporter looks like it is going to be really good. There is no release date as I know of at this point but I will say that I am really excited about checking this one out. Disfrutala

RIP Aaliyah

I cant believe it, but it has been 7 years since the passing of Aaliyah, and wow how time flies. She lost her life in a plane crash in the Bahamas with 7 of her friends and co workers. This is a video dedication to her, one of my favorites songs by her. Also you can see the legacy she has left on the game, and a spot that will never be filled. Aaliyah you were one in a million, and more than a woman to all of us. YOu are still deeply missed. And even though I never got the chance to meet her, I was influenced by her music and style. This one is for LiLi.... RIP Baby Girl!!

The House Chronicles Episode II (THC2) Hi Fidelity

http://www.zshare.net/audio/17581526bd82f85d/

Here is the new mixtape that I am releasing the next couple of months. The first version of this did really well, and so many people have been asking me about the sequel, so I thought I would put it out and give the people what they want. This one is more potent than the last, with a mix of the new and the old, it definitely delivers. I really hope you all enjoy!! disfrutala!!

Rock the Bells

This is Red and Mef on the rock the bells tour this year. This was one show I would have loved to have checked out. They should do a world tour, because there are many hip hop heads around the world. I will say that going to the method man concert here in Chile last year was really off the chain, so seeing this mad me realize how dope these two are as a duo. Blackout 2 coming soon BITCHES!!!

This is the reunion of the legendary A Tribe Called Quest. This is one the most influencial hip hop groups of all time. For the first time in 10 years the fellas got back together and rocked it on stage in San Bernadino, California. YOu gotta love that man, all for original members of a tribe called quest ....RIP DILLA!! Anyway this is refreshing to see because, if they are on good enough terms to perform together, then you know they are recording together. Would love to hear what they have cooking up in the studio. Dont forget to get the Renaissance by Qtip which should be out I think September 2. Disfrutala

Five Deadly Venoms

Here is the 1978 movie the Five Deadly Venoms, one of the Shaw Brothers production. I am a huge kung fu fan, and this is one of the movies that I would consider a classic. This, along with Shogun Assassin, Chinese Connection.....and I can go on and on but this one is for you to check out. Disfrutala.

Guy Ritchie and RockNRolla

I dont know what it is about this movie, but I am really interested in seeing what it has to offer. It has Thandie Newton and Ludacris.....two of my favorite entertainers (you know I have a lot of people that I am into :) but it seems like it would be a really interesting flick to check out. I posted a preview of this earlier, but here is a mini interview from the Associated Press of Guy Ritchie talking about the process of making a film, writing and directing. Very interesting and insightful. Definitely a must see when it hits theaters. Disfrutala.

The Martinez Brothers

Here is the an interview with some new upcoming djs from New York called the Martinez Brothers. They really didnt give you a look into what type of music they play, its just more about the hype of a new artist. But nonetheless it is a decent interview, with a lot of party scenes from NY. Good looking to Djsounds.com for always being on the cusp of something new. disfrutala.

Sukiyaki Western Django clip

This is a strange clip I found online while I was surfing today. It has Quentin Tarantino, who is one of my favorite directors......it is a crazy clip but cool at the same time. Check it out. disfrutala

The Curse of the Golden Flower

Here is a copy of the movie The Curse of the Golden Flower. I was told this is a very good story, sad but good. I am going to check it out later on, I havent checked it out yet, been busy with the radio show and remixes, but I am going to try and check it out tonight. Enjoy and later on I will give my synopsis. Disfrutala.

Universal Mind Control

Here is a clip from Common (CHI Town Stand up!!) and the Neptunes. They are currently working on his latest project, Invincible Summer, which is coming out in September I think. I am really excited to hear what they have come up with in the studio. I liked what they did on the Electric Circus Lp which a lot feel is Common´s weakest word. IMO I feel as though I like the fact that he is secure enough in his own style that he can venture off and try different things. Only to come back and hit us up with the classic BE. I truly cant wait to hear what they have served up for us. Common said that this is just a different side of him. With that being said I think we are all excited about seeing what this other side has to offer. Disfrutala.

AmErykahs Junglist Soldier

AmErykah´s Junglist Soldier - thesession.tk

I found the accapella to this online a while ago, and I have been wanting to make a jungle remix of it since the first time I heard it. By the way if you dont own Nu AmErykah World war 4 you are slippin, and need to caught up. Anyway this is my rendition of the song Soldier which is on that album. I was really feeling the original but I thought a jungle version of it would be perfect, it has the perfect swing and sway to be a really nice dnb tune. It goes hard, with Ms Badu on the vocals drifting on top of heavy bass and fluttering drums. This one really is for those who remember the days of sparking the lighters for the djs when they play those big tunes. Disfrutala

Battle in Seattle

This is a movie that is coming out September 19,2008. It is about the WTO and when they came to Seattle in November of 1999. It is a story about a group of people, and how their lives were effected over the events that went on that day. It has an all star cast as well, which makes it better, because it then steps up the game of all the rest. I will definitely be checking for this one when it is released.

Coraline

This next clip is from a movie called Caroline, which is coming out next February. The stop animation looks amazing. It is written by the guy who directed A Nightmare Before Christmas. Neil Gaiman and Henry Selick bring the Coraline story to life. I have always been into animation.....The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Boondocks, Death Note, I can go on and on, but this movie would be a very interesting movie to see. I love when people make complex stories through animation. That is incredible, and extremely difficult to pull off correctly. This looks like it will be an amazing piece. Check it out......disfrutala.

Armand Van Helden

Yo you really have to give it up to djsounds.com for doing their thing and keeping it all the way real with interviewing the top djs in the industry. On the real, they really are keeping it underground and gully while at the same time showing a lot of taste and class. You know what I mean. Its high quality and its underground. That is what it is all about. Keeping the club life, just that....club life. Not over exposing the lifestyle turning it into a circus. Instead showing it in the professional light that it deserves. Now that you gotta love, and this rare interview of one of my all time favorites Armand Van Helden. I still remember my 25 birthday.....hearing Flowers.....and getting flowers from all of my friends that year. I miss you Skizz!! What up to Clutch also. Yeah so seeing this was real nice, just because he never really gets the props that he deserves IMO.

Coldcut LIVE

These are a group of individuals who have really been on the cutting edge of electronic music since the late 80´s. If you dont know about Coldcut, or was into them in the past.....Check this out. Great performace, and even greater visuals....WOW!! vous etes ici.... you are here.

For all the JUNGLISTS!!

Okay since I have been on a run today....I am going to keep on going and bring in some Andy C and Murdock. This is another selection from DJsounds.com. This one is from the 10 day out festival in Gent. They did coverage of the Drum and Bass scene. Its really cool because they go into where jungle has been and where it is headed. Really great interview. See I didnt forget about all my JUNGLISTS out there. disfrutala.

Deadmau5 very inspiring

I have really been in introspective mode and working on where else to take In the Session and the iSessions series that I am running right now. I have a lot of great ideass and I am implementing them now. Things just take time.....that really is it. So I am going to keep doing what I am doing and working on bringing some really good shit to you. Oh and by the way in this interview is with Deadmau5, and this clip also is very inspiring because he seems like a regular guy, who hasnt let success go to his head. Big up to Deadmau5 for that one! I am on the Ibiza kick today. It is just because it is so cold here today, being winter you know. I am still trying to bribe my friends to go riding with me one time this year before the season is up.....I really have that itch.....so in order to get my mind off of it. I think about djing in Ibiza.

Defected in Ibiza

All I can say about this is WOW! First off let me start by saying that you know you doing big things when your label has a set up in Ibiza. Secondly this is something to aspire to right there, traveling the world, doing what you love. That is what life is all about. I will say I dont like the plug for CDJ´s. I know they are tight and all, but lets keep VINYL alive man. For nostalgia at least. This is an interview with the Shapeshifters and it is really interesting. Next year The Session is going to Ibiza to do interviewing. Fuck that shit!!! Stay tuned......:)

Dance of the DeaD

I love movies like this!! A great B movie about zombies always makes my day. I am going to try and find this online, and if I do I will try and link it to the site. If not go to the video store and rent this. This would be great for those nights where you are staying in with close friends, great some great brew.....make some great pizza, spark up one, and laugh your ass off!!

This is another Cohen Brothers movie called Burn After Reading. Looks like it is going to be kinda funny. I was feeling the trailer for some reason.

Tropic Thunder

I am in full movie mode today I think. Here is a clip from the new Ben Stiller movie Tropic Thunder......this scene is really funny man!! You cant go full retarded!! HAHA!!

This is the Spirit Trailer.....another Frank Miller movie and it really looks off the charts man. Something that I will definitely be going to the theater to see. I like the fact that there are more and more really great movies coming out. Things that are on the cusp of something new.....people doing their own thing, and stepping outside of the mold and making new ones. disfrutala.

Convict Colony

I love when people do things outside of the box. This is something that I stumbled on today that I thought was very interesting, just in the treatment of the video and how he explains it as digging within oneself and finding ones own true worth. That was very profound coming from Saul Williams, but what else would you expect coming from him? Anyway this is a really good clip of him and the making of Convict Colony.....you know he should do the remix with Akon....now that would be something....but I am just saying...:) disfrutala.

My Secret Obsession

Here is a preview from the new Guy Ritchie movie called RocknRolla featuring Ludacris and Thandie Newton. This looks like it is going to be a really good film. I love a lot of Guy Ritchies films....and this follows along in his same rhythm of heist movies. But that is what I love about his films. They have a sense of humor, but tell a story. I will definitely be going out and checking this one out at the theaters.

Now this is an ad that was banned in the USA. And being the internet junkie that I am, I came across this, and wow! Eva Mendes is beautiful in this clip. Check it out. Oh yeah and you know my secret obsession......THE INTERNET!! disfrutala.

The Renaissance

Whats good? Stumbled across this surfing the net, and thought this was on hit. It is some footage of Q Tip djing, and Cons taping him. This is also a preview of the album that he has coming out September 9th called Live at the Renaissance. I will definitely be coppin that when it comes out. Support REAL music!! on the real, now that the power is back in the hands of the consumer, we should use that power wisely and let those coporate mofos know that it is on us. Nice to see Q Tip doing his thing too. Wish we could get another ATCQ album. But that is just me being a die hard backpacker thats all :). Disfrutala.

I'll Be Dat

Yo I saw this video and it brought back memories of when it had came out. I used to love this song. Anyway plus with me being a huge Redman fan....come on man, people are sleep on him. And he is highly underrated man. Anyway.....We got a new time and a new place of action. WEll the new and improved studios of www.santiagoradio.fm

DJ A TRAK

Rehearsal Space: A-Trak from videos222 on Vimeo.

As you know I am a huge Kanye West fan...CHI-TOWN STAND UP!! anyway this guy is Kanyes dj....and a winner of the dmc 1997 world championships. This is his story and what he has going on. Really interesting and inspiring all in the same. Check it out. disfrutala.

Wolfman

Here is a trailer of a new Wolfman movie that is coming out. It has Benicio del Toro and it looks like it is going to be a nice flick. I know I complain about there being no new ideas in Hollywood, I do like a fresh outlook on an old story though, especially when it is done right. For example the newly revived Batman franchise has really outdone itself with the Dark Knight. That was really off the hook. Anyway I am loving these new outlooks on old stories. If they can redo Frankenstein, that would be the JAWN!!! Disfrutala.

Everyone Nose

Now this is one of the things I miss about being in the States, is the accessiblity of new music. I am getting better at finding it and bringing it to you, but I do miss listening to this kind of stuff....especially with it being summer and all....anyway....with that being said this is a new joint from NERD. I am a huge Neptunes fan....been down with them since Superthug....I liked the SWV stuff too but that was before I knew who they were. This has got CHI-Town natives Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco, and Pusha T from the Clipse. The beat is banging and I think I am going to try and put this in my mix for next weekend. Disfrutala.

Untitled Documentary about House Music

Untitled House Music Documentary Extended Trailer - 3:45 from 32Thirteen on Vimeo.

Big ups to my boy Clutch to hitting me up with this one. This just reminded me of all the DJ´s we used to see when we started djing back in the 90´s and our roomate had a promotion company and Charles Feelgood was at our house. The many late nights seeing Mark Farina, and Derrick Carter. Also when I went back to the CHI and even before when I would sneak out of my house and go into the city to dance, we would go Monday night to see LEGO at Boom Boom Room....which has now changed from its original place in Red Dawgs. Crazy how time flies. Good times!! So I put this up to show love to House music....its a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing.
