I saw this video and I was really feeling what Kweli was doing on this one. Just like I have been always saying,.....this is Hip Hop. This is like that Dead Prez type joint.....but on a whole another tip. Kweli is always on time with his joints. Now we are just waiting on that Black Star joint and we will be set for a bit. I love it when Hip Hop goes back to its roots, about informing the people, about Edutainment.....Big up KRS-One for being the guide. Real Hip Hop is making its way back. The Punked OUT Session

What´s good?? Okay this one is really early, but I was excited about letting people here this one. This is off of the new series we are calling iSessions by Mike Hee. Been hearing a lot punk and rock music lately, which I am not complaiining about, it just makes it better when I hear hip hop again you know. So this mix is a mixture of some punk stuff and some house stuff. Its a nice mix. For my people in the Northern Hemisphere.....this would be a nice summertime mix to play at your cookouts or while going to work, or working out. Nice getting ready to go out music. For my people in the Southern Hemisphere.....this would be the 5am mix....that will keep ya going until 9. That stay warm music. Another step towards independence......

I don´t know what the deal is with me, but things happen, and I end of just doing what I should have done in first place. My parents would always say just go with your instincts, and with that being said, we have done it......The Session is now a full blown radio station. It was a long time coming, but it is coming together. Right now there is only The Session with Mike Hee every Saturday from 2-4pm eastern running alongside the www.citybeatradio.org show. but now you can listen here.....

Never Die

This week has been really crazy. Monday was a holiday, and I spent the weekend on the west side of the city in a place called San Antonio de Padua. Saw a reggae band that was so on hit, but I cant remember their names right now......which really sucks. But I do remember I saw this video this week, and it brought back summertime in the states. It brought back memories of the 90´s when hip hop was still crossing new ground, and spoke about things close to home. This made me think about all the people I knew, who got shot and died, or shot and still made it through. Got me to thinking about life and how good it is to have it. I know I might be getting kinda deep but it really brought that out of me. Big ups to Young Chris and everyone involved with making this project. This is what Hip Hop needs......a new voice. The Rogue Junglist

What is going on everyone, we got the new mixtape up, which is called The Rogue Junglist. I put this one together for the show this weekend on www.citybeatradio.org, and I thought that I would put it out for everyone to check out. Being that it is winter here, and summer in the States, this would be the perfect mix for your car, or your ipod, or any mp3 device. It has smooth transitions and is a mix of the old and the new. I myself have been in a bit of a transition lately, moving and getting everything together. The move is official now and I am now in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We need to bring it back......

I saw this video and heard this song and I was like WHOOOAAAHH!! Ya´ll should all get lynched (animated version) this video was banned from being played. This is the type of stuff that is missing in music today. Things that are thought provoaking, things that make you say....damn!! this muthafucka is on some shit!! you know what I am sayin?? I miss the days of listening to Public Enemy, and De La Soul, KRS-One, Del the Funky homosapien, and A Tribe Called Quest. This not only goes for hip hop, but for house, and drum and bass too. Somehow we lost our way, and money became the only goal. Whatever happened to making good music?? Whatever happened to making good art. Big up to NYOIL for this. This is where it is at. Enjoy.
