This is Rees, Talib Kweli, and I think the other girls name is Graf if I am not mistaken....but I could be wrong :) anyway I was a huge Rees fan back in the late 90´s with her first album.....which had Golden Boys......she got slept on hard back then, and it is good to see that she is still making music. This is a nice little club joint they did. I like the video also, it is kind of raw!!

Here is the new video from Black Milk called Give the Drummer Sum. THis is one of my favorites off the critically acclaimed TRONIC which is out now, and if you dont have it then you are really sleeping. This album brings back that raw sound hip hop has lost in recent years. Production is on point as well as the lyrics. Black Milk is really holding down Detroit and the Midwest.

Calle 13 is one of my favorite groups because of their sense of humor and music. Residente and Visitante are two of the most innovating people pushing the reggaeton envelope. The Obama Era has begun......

I believe this is a very great moment in the history of the United States. I believe that yesterday realized the dreams of many of our ancestors, and the fight of so many others in the past, to make things equal. To make this possible. I am so grateful to all of those in the past who gave their lives so that me and those who come after me can be free and live the American Dream. Thank you. and I am extremely proud to know that I was around to see the first Black U.S. President. Barak Obama. CHI-Town Stand up!!!

Dead Prez dropping jewels

One of the most prolific, and underrated groups in Hip Hop. M1 and Stickman aka Dead Prez, really dropping some knowledge in this one. Cant wait for that Information Age to drop. I will say that listening to Lets Get Free really changed my way of thinking about some things. Really changed that way I look at how Black people were treated in the States, and how its deeply rooted in everything, from education, to general concepts in the media. BIG UP to DEAD PREZ.

I heard this song and I saw this video and I thought, wow that is great. I love the fact that she is in the swimming pool and it is down backwards. Crazy concept but it really works with the song. Definitely has that LA feel to it. Brings thoughts of summer to mind and late night parties, that go on for days.
